Phase #1: Outdoor fireplace. Building toward an inviting gathering place for friends, family and neighbors.
The Juan family started with a great patio setting; it had privacy, a layout that catered to the nearby deck, and shape. What was it missing? Fire! Together, we designed an outdoor kitchen and Outdoor fireplace combo to complete their space.
The build here was straight forward, the finishes were unique. We wanted to get this in for the spring patio season so we took advantage of a few warm days in winter to pour the footing in advance. Once the coping pieces were fabricated and the weather improved, the fireplace was built. The coping pieces are worth mentioning here - we used a brand new stone called Verda Ola that combines dark cobalt-like color with jade and a quartz. We did a brushed finish to texture the stone giving it the generational feel it deserves.
